This webpage provides a brief sampling of my work history. For a more complete history, please view my resume linked above, which can be opened via Adobe Reader. The second resume linked above illustrates my volunteer work for the Society for Creative Anachronism. Previously I worked as a third grade team teacher and an unofficial technology facilitator in Hampton City Schools. Samples of my work as the technology facilitator can be found on the third page linked above. I followed my time at Hampton by working as a substitute teacher at Newport News Public Schools, and then at the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation as an Office Services Specialist in the Training Academy. After spending twenty-six years within the same hour radius in Virginia, I picked up my roots and moved to Chicago. The Institute for Real Estate Management found my resume on the American Society for Training & Development website and called me for an interview for the Education Records Coordinator position and started in mid-August 2006. In May 2007, I was promoted to Education Records Administrator and in August 2008, I was promoted to current position as Supervisor, Education Records. My employement at IREM ended in December 2009. I moved back to Virginia, living in the DC Metro area. In June 2010 I completed the Institute for Organization Management nonprofit organization management professional development program and received my IOM. I am currently seeking employement in the education or training fields working for an association, museum, or not for/non-profit organization. |
